PARENT VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

To insure the success of Quito-Saratoga Little League, we require that each family perform service in the league. We understand how difficult it may be as many of you have several children, dual careers and other priorities.

There are two volunteering requirements you must meet as a member of the league:

Family Volunteer Requirement

While we understand how difficult it may be as many of you have several children, dual careers and other priorities, we require that each family perform service in the league to insure the success of Quito-Saratoga Little League. This year we are shifting from "shifts" to requiring families to earn volunteer points. We require each family to earn at least 15 volunteer points by the end of the season (T-Ball families earn 5 points). Please fill out the Volunteer Time Card located under the Resources tab on our website and turn this into your Team Parent at the end of the season. Any credits remaining at the end of the season will be charged at $100 per credit to your family. There are many ways that you can earn credits with the league. If you feel there are other ways that you can contribute to the league, please reach out to info@qsll.org with your suggestion and we will assess the credit value for the service.

If you cannot fulfill your volunteer requirement you can

  • pay $1,500 to opt-out of your family's volunteer requirement or

  • generate at least $3,000 in sponsorship funds. If you choose to generate this

amount of sponsorship, please contact sponsorships@qsll.org for more details.

Team- or Division-Level Volunteering Requirement

We also ask that families help volunteer at the team or division level. Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepping field before and after games

  • Assistant Coach

  • Team Parent

  • Scorekeeper

  • Volunteer Umpire

  • Yearbook Coordinator

  • Safety Coordinator

  • Helping with fundraising events

  • There will also be opportunities to volunteer for special events/activities such as field days, opening day, parent social events, etc.
